Some Short Answer:
All About Me:
Hobbies and Interests: Music, running, psychology, chemistry, Spanish, poker, computers… I like a lot of stuff.
Pet Peeves: People that don’t stop talking, people that think they know what they’re talking about but don’t, braggers with hubris, inconsiderate people, and stuff that doesn’t work no matter how hard you try
Irrational Phobias: Heights where you can tell how high it is, feeling there’s someone following you, feeling like you lost something
Little known talent: I remember lots of random facts, so, uh, careful what you say around me.
Random Fact: If I like something, I’m probably obsessed with it. Don’t get me started on computers or music.
How you see yourself in the future: With a nice job, master’s or PhD in chemical engineering from Stanford, and an amazing wife. Retired at 50. Something like that.
Best way to spend your time: Hanging out with friends
If you could wish for anything: Asides from the obligatory world peace, I’d love to have a nice life 20 years down the road, with a job I actually enjoy. Sort of like FBLA.
Someone you would like to meet, dead or otherwise: Thomas Jefferson
Something you want to do before you die: Visit interesting places; Barcelona, Madrid, Beijing, Rome, Athens, 7 Wonders….
Advice to others: "If something’s hard, don’t give up. Things will get better before you know it."
FBLA-related:
Why did you join FBLA? Some friends were in it last year, and they seemed to really enjoy it. And States and Nationals just sound like a huge fun party. Being multiple national sweepstakes winner doesn’t hurt either.
What does FBLA mean to you? Serious business with tons of fun.
What events have you competed in for FBLA? None so far, but I’ll be in Computer Problem Solving, and hopefully 3rd Speaker for PwB or CS.
What is your favorite aspect of FBLA? All the cool people I’ve gotten to know, and the fun committees/projects.
Favorite FBLA memory: Los Altos Library Marketing with PwB. Hanging out with friends and selling headsets; doesn’t get much better than that.
Thanks Andrew!
