What is CS? The goal of the Community Service project is to make a positive impact on and benefit our community and its members through a yearlong project.
What does CS do? Last year’s CS focused on the drought and promoted water conservation through creating a PSA, planting drought resistant plants at a local ranch, and marketing ways to save water at middle schools and public libraries. In the past, we have also promoted literacy, restored natural parks, and helped organize Homestead’s 50th Anniversary celebration. Come over to our meeting on Thursdays during tutorial in A209 to find out what we are focusing on for the year!
What’s in it for members?
Through our project, members will be able to network, learn public speaking skills, gain valuable memories, and most of all, have fun! This year, there will be many opportunities for members to contact other organizations within and outside of school. Also, we are opening up the process of planning some of these events to members so that they will be able to obtain hands-on experiences of planning and leading a project as well.
Questions? Don’t hesitate to come up and talk to your project chairs at any time, or email us at [email protected]!
