The American Enterprise Project (AE) centralizes on teaching the community about the different business aspects of our economy. In past years AE has covered topics such as International Business, Career Preparation, and Entrepreneurship. This year AE will focus on News Broadcasting!
This year’s project will consist of members producing a series of mock newscasts to upload onto a customized Youtube Channel. These mock newscasts will be 2-3 minute videos that summarize and present current business issues in a way that is easy for students to understand. Through News Broadcasting, members will be able to partake in filming, video editing, script writing, and practicing public speaking skills. Topics that may be covered in the mock newscasts will come from sources such as the Wall Street Journal, ABC News, FOX, CNN, etc. Potential topics may include: business law, finance, marketing and more! Also, if you are someone that’s interested in competition, news broadcasting can provide a friendly competitive environment. Each of the topics that are researched by members will be put up for voting. The topic with the most votes will be made into a short clip. Members can also look forward to guest speakers, field trips, presentations, and interactive workshops held throughout the year! So what are you waiting for? If you are interested in video production, writing, video editing, or speaking then this is the project for you! Click sign up under American Enterprise in the events/groups section! Best, Cathy Zhang and Lucy Yao American Enterprise Co-chairs 2011-2012
